WHO WE ARE
Mercy Church is about community. It's about loving people whoever they are and wherever they are! Our vision is “to lead people to a healthy relationship with Jesus Christ” and that is why we do what we do. Mercy Church has become known as a place where everyone is welcome, literally everyone! It's a place where hope is found, love is felt, faith grows, laughter is common and friendships are forged. Mercy Church is people. Imperfect people loving God and loving each other as we journey through life together… the good, the bad and the ugly. That’s who we are, and that’s why we're here. We would love for you to find Mercy and discover your story!
OUR JOURNEY
Our founding pastor, a Kansas City native, felt called to start a church shortly before graduating Bible college. It would be many years before the dream would be realized, as Timmy and his wife, Jana, spent more than a decade serving in various churches in Missouri, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Texas. Finally, they made their way back to Kansas to start Mercy Church.
Mercy Church started in Olathe back in 2003 under the name of Olathe Life Fellowship with just 10 people. We changed the name to Mercy Church in 2009 to reflect more of who we are rather than where we met. We then moved north to Prairie Village in 2010. After just 5 years in Prairie Village we realized that Olathe is where we are supposed to be. So in June of 2015 we gathered a few families interested in starting a new church in Olathe, and the rest of the story is currently being written. We invite you to consider helping write the story of Mercy Church. Hope to see you Sunday!
